Edward Boshnick, OD (optometrist) presents at the FDA Ophthalmic Devices Panel hearing held in Gaithersburg, Maryland on April 25th, 2008. The hearing focused on LASIK quality of life, depression, and suicide.

Gracias doctor me devolvio la vida, gracias por su dedicacion, esmero, gentileza y profesionalismo, puede recuperar mi vision con los escleral lentes y la verdad no tengo palabras. Despues de recorrer los mejores lugares para poder recuparar algo de mi vision dañada por un Lasik, llegue a su oficina en la cual volvi a vivir, puede ver otra vez. Gracias doctor

But, what if, a patient takes the LAW into their own hands, now ruined and suicidal feeling there is nothing to live for? Doesn’t this create an “x” factor for the Lying LASIK Doctors to think about? Does safety now come before money for once? Only time will tell. Basically, the Lying LASIK Doctors have lied in order to save a lawsuit, while pushing the patient past the Statute of Limitations to sue them which is about 2 years usually, all while ruining his patient’s eyesight and life.
