Yes, but the LASIK doctors are ALL CHARLATANS…you are absolutely misrepresenting and misdefining “Success Rates” stating a 95.4% success rate however YOU the Doctor/Asking the patient for $5k…Why don’t you tell the truth to your patients for once in your life! Why don’t you tell them the FLAP never heals, permanently scars a perfectly healthy cornea, only lasts for a short time, and leaves about 1,000,000 Americans ruined with no recourse…Be a man, and practice the f..n Hippocratic Oath!

It’s been over 9 years since I had it done, and I’m fine and dandy. I love being able to travel without contacts or glasses.

question:is lasik surgery safe for an 18 years old guy?Though i havent got that big prob with my eyes ,the idea of not wearing glasses is quite tempting.well sould i go on or dont even think about it?

If 10,000,000 Americans have had LASIk and the FDA says there is a 5% dissatisfaction rate, that equates to 500,000 Americans being hurt. A much higher number than the 142 currently being reported. See what I mean about the Lies? I think the true number of eyes hurt is more like 25% of all eyes over a 10 year period. Remember, the FLAP never heals. Google: Lasik FDA, Lasik Suicides, Lasik Nightmare, Lasik Complications, Lasik Disaster, Lasik Hell, Lasik dry eye, Lasik Ruined Lives.

LASIK is all over the news being scrutinzed for complaints by the FDA. Don’t believe the Lying LASIK Doctors 95.4% falsified statistic. It’s more like a 75% success rate up to 10 years, and then after 10 years more like 50%…Google: FDA LASIK. And then listen with an open mind.

Patient’s are awake for the LASIK procedure, which is painless and takes about 5 minutes.

Lying Lasik Doctors belong in jail for what they are doing to their patients. THEY all LIE, and don’t even inform their patients about the suicides happening from Lasik and that every FLAP they create, NEVER heals. They aren’t talking about Tiger Woods ex girlfriend, Kashmira Karanjia, being ruined by Lasik 20 minutes after Tiger’s treatment, by the same idiot Whitten…Why isn’t THIS on the news?? If the industry was honest, it would have been!! You’ve been warned…

ATENTION:Once a flap is cut, you lose the strength of the anterior 1/3 of the cornea, where the tissue is the strongest. The flap never heals except for around the edge, so that 1/3 thickness flap does not contribute to the corneal strength ever again. As thin as the cornea is, that’s a big risk to take in the long run. PATIENTS CAN GET SERIOUS PROBLEMS AFTER SOME YEARS. SO DON’T TRUST ON THOSE SON OF A BITCH CALLED DOCTORS!

okay, first thing, the eye flap DOES heal, theres positive pressure outside of the eye and negative pressure inside thus sucks the flap back and heals, dumbasses

Why don’t doctors start telling the truths about lasik and how the flap is the problem…if patients really understood lasik, in that it creates a permanent flap that never heals, they would never allow anybody to charge them $4,000 a pop to make permanent eye problems…do your homework, i am not asking you for your credit card, and being honest…

Read some peer-reviewed medical journal articles for the truth about the flap.
    J Refract Surg. 2005 Sep-Oct;21(5):433-45.
CONCLUSIONS: The human comeal stroma typically heals after LASIK in a limited and incomplete fashion; this results in a weak, central and paracentral hypocellular primitive stromal scar that averages 2.4% as strong as normal comeal stroma.
