The show is quite informative and does an excellent job of allowing the viewer to get to know both Anna as well as Dr Chao. I would have appreciated hearing more of the downsides of laser eye surgery- the portion showing Anna’s friend with some knives was comical but somewhat pointless. The video failed to take into account the possibility of blindness due to laser eye surgery. Nevertheless, the comparison of ten years’ worth of eye care versus the price of surgery was a great point.

Thank you for your video and information, Anna!
It helped me a lot to make my decision to have Lasik done. Congrats on your new vision!

I am very thankful for Lasik eye surgery, my mother was having issues with her vision, and I heard about this amazing treatment. After long conversation I convinced her to participate in Lasik, and she says it was one of the best decisions of her life! You will not regret getting this amazing surgery.

I wish I had parents that paid me not to have surgery.

Since I was 5 years old, I’ve been wearing glasses. I would love nothing more than to be free of glasses and contacts. This video was no less than encouraging and reassuring. I would be the first to go in for a consultation with Dr. Chao’s firm. And if he said I was a good candidate, I would do it without question. I would feel comfortable on Dr. Chao’s table and would tell my friends about his firm!

I am not a Lasik professional, but I play one on youtube!

I have an aunt who got the lasik surgery about four years ago and she reccomends it to people who find glasses to be in the way of thier everyday lifestyle. I recommend that you see your eye doctor first and ask as many questions as you can. I wanted to get the lasik, but after a recent eye exam I was told that I would not be able to get it because my cornea is very thin. I feel that if the doctor says you are a good candidate, GO FOR IT!

If only her mother could see her way clear to encourage her daughter to get the lasik surgery, she might also see her way to benefit from lasik surgery herself! It is definitely the something to do for the whole family needing sight!

lasik surgery, just do it!
June 22nd, 2009 at 2:16 am
Forget contacts and glasses! One took me time every morning and night with unforeseen problems throughout the day (pun intended). The other smudged, bent, I couldn’t lay down to watch TV. I got Lasik and now I just don’t worry about it!

I just got Lasik done by Dr. Chao and he’s AWESOME! He walked me through everything and nothing was rushed. He’s very methodical and gives you full attention, so I wasn’t very nervous.

Anna Yu with Something to Do! Something for YOU to do! yahhh!!!!
June 22nd, 2009 at 2:16 am
It appears to me that Anna’s frontal lobes (and everything else for that matter
ARE fully developed! She approached her surgery methodically, did her research and found a reputable Dr. to perform her lasik surgery. As a blurry eyed, contact wearing, surgery phobic squinter, I found the step-by-step visual of the process reassuring. I am hoping that the “hand holding” during the procedure is commonplace throughout the industry. I’m sold! I just stuck my contacts on to my computer screen!

I say as long as you do your research and find the right doctor, go for it! One less thing to worry about when you’re running late to work!!

My mom got Lasik eye surgery and it has changed her life for the better! I say go for it if it makes you happy then do it
It seems like Anna is doing her research and people who are thinking of doing this will benefit as well.

I think Dr. Chao should greet his “candidates” with those rockstar sun glasses on. I mean, those are by far the biggest perk of the surgery. I guess living without sight glasses is pretty profound as well.

i used to wear fake glasses so people would think i was smart, now I am considering lasik because I am a stubborn purist.
June 22nd, 2009 at 2:16 am
I’ve been considering lasik eye surgery for a while now…maybe I’ll actually do it finally. I’m so sick of my friggin’ glasses!
June 22nd, 2009 at 2:16 am
i’d try to toss you a courtesy laugh, but man, that wasnt even remotely funny…
June 22nd, 2009 at 2:16 am
Too bad that with how much she bobs her head around she’ll be cross-eyed within a few years.
