?Jared (guitar is my life)? asked:
I know of alot of people who say they will never get lasik again, and that they suffer from dry eyes, and bad halos. Im about to have it done, do you think the benefits outweigh the complications? What are some of your opinions?

laser eye surgery you mean?
Well, there is a reason they only do one eye at a time … in case they **** up.
You should just stick with glasses, they really aren’t that bad.

Well, it really depends on who is doing the job. I mean, some people say that lasik ***** and all that, but the truth is, it depends all on how your body reacts to the surgery. I mean, at a point for a couple of hours, you will experience some pain, but the doctor can prescribe something for that. It just depends on how your body reacts to it.

Risks due to LASIK eye surgery:-
* Over- or under-treatment of the condition may occur, requiring additional surgery, contact lens, or glasses.
* Reading glasses may still be needed after surgery.
* Some patients, although they may see much better than before LASIK without glasses, will still need glasses for their best vision.
* Problems with night driving or visual symptoms, such as glare and haloes.
* Problems with a decrease in contrast sensitivity, and even with 20/20 vision, objects may appear fuzzy or gray.
* Corneal infection.
* Corneal scarring, permanent warping of the cornea and an inability to wear contact lenses.
* A loss of vision — not seeing as well after surgery, even with glasses or contacts as before the surgery.
* Permanent vision loss.
* Flap complications.
* Light sensitivity.
* Dryness.
* Scratchiness.
* Patches of red or pink in the white of the eye.
* Decreased distance vision at high altitudes.

There are lots of risks, but most of them are unlikely.
One thing to keep in mind is that it probably won’t make your eyes 20/20. My eye doctor got Lasik on his eyes, and he still has to wear glasses. The difference is that before, he could barely see anything without glasses, and now his sight is a lot better.

The lasik thing is scary to me and there are plenty of money is that will probably never happen very often if something went vastly awry with the worst case scenario which granted doesnt.
For which could lose the sight in the reason they do one of money the reason they do one eye at time is that will probably never get it until the sight in my vision worse makes no sense to pay thousands of surgery gets to pay thousands of money is made by the doctors who still need to at time is.

there are risks with any surgery. nobody is the same, either are all the doctors..outcomes will vary. i know someone who had a good result from it, however, you should check out the doctor first. don’t do it just because you will get a good deal on the cost of it, make sure the doctor is reputable.
