www.visianinfo.com A Visian ICL patient describes her experience with the dangers of LASIK eye surgery. Due to thin corneas, reputable surgeons recommended against LASIK for her. Since Visian implantable collamer lenses are appropriate for most cases of thin corneas, she felt safer choosing this option. She won’t risk her eyesight to the dangers of LASIK surgery. Christian is an avid surfer. We were able to do wavefront guided LASIK with the Intralase to create a thin flap in his right eye (-9D)but his left was too nearsighted (-12D) so we inserted a phakic lens implant 2 years ago. He now has 20/15 vision in the right and 20/12 in the left and is very happy with the quality of vision in both eyes, not favoring one over the other.
